 The recruitment of the future is already here

Sometimes the future will come faster than we could have imagined. New times, the things that suddenly landed on our knees with the Corona virus, require that the habits of routine suddenly change completely.

Shortly before home offices and quarantines started, I talked to Cloetta as I had the pleasure of helping again, about a new role that needed to be appointed. The ad went out and after a weekend offices began to close and homework was introduced. Not ideal conditions for conducting all associated interviews.

After all, we realized that most of the interview process could actually be done digitally, with me as well as with Cloetta. Since we at Hammer & Hanborg have long worked with competence-based interview technology, the same questions can be asked via video and I could focus on the answers rather than taking into account subjective factors such as length, clothing, style, etc., which tend to influence our impressions in interviews. Hmm, maybe the new one is even better?

I will miss the personal contact from the interviews, but we are forced to try the recruitment of the future today, given the circumstances. And it might not get any worse. Does it become purely more objective and thus better? I appreciate that Cloetta dared to think and try a new way. I am also proud that together we thought"business as usual", quickly adapted to the new conditions and continue to work in our everyday lives!
