The new buzz word in companies right now is "digital transformation". Many executives talk about it – but what is it really?
For me digital transformation is the whole transformation that needs to occur – to be successful in a non-linear society, where non-linear behaviours among consumers is growing rapidly. These behaviours are affecting many products, services and businesses. To take an example, possibilities for consumers to purchase their trips online has disrupted the industry for travel agents, making it more challenging for agents to predict how consumers behave, what their needs are and how they want to use and pay for their services.
The transformation means that business models, competences, communication, cultures, processes, organisation and leadership all need to adapt to be able to be prosperous in the future. To be "future-proof" - flexibility, agility and the ability to unlearn and relearn will be determining factors. Companies that have a culture that embraces change with curiosity and energy will be tomorrow´s pioneers.
So what does this mean for your business and for you as an individual and professional? What competences and mindset will be key in order to stay and be attractive on the market? This is what we will dig deeper in during Own the Future summit on February 5-6, where we together with Hammer & Hanborg will gather a bunch of experts and professionals to workshop and discuss how to prepare for the future.
